As a general rule, Sundays and every second and fourth Saturday are West Bengal/ Kolkata bank holidays. Also, April 1 is a bank holiday on account of the yearly account closing activity of banks.
The list of WB bank holidays for 2023 includes many major regional festivals like Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Kali Puja, Bengali New Year, etc. Festivals such as Id-Ul-Fitar and Christmas are also bank holidays in West Bengal.
