Tamil Nadu Ministers List TVK- Cabinet Ministers Of Vijay

Tamil Nadu stands at a historic crossroads. On May 7, 2026, actor-turned-politician Vijay — the face of the newly founded Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) — is set to be sworn in as the state’s new Chief Minister.

TVK’s emergence as the single largest party with 108 seats in the 234-member assembly — though 11 short of an outright majority — has triggered an intense round of coalition negotiations.

The new government is being stitched together with support from Congress (5 seats), PMK (4 seats), IUML (2 seats), VCK (2 seats), and other smaller allies. Vijay has already written to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar staking his claim, and the political machinery of cabinet formation is now in full swing.
