How to register for voter ID on the National Voter’s Service Portal?

To register for voter ID application or correction on the NVSP portal, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the Logo/Register icon
Step 3: Click on ‘Register as a new user’
Step 4: Enter your mobile number and captcha code and click on the Send OTP button
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on SMS and click on the Verify button
Step 6: Choose the appropriate option depending on whether you have an EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) number or not and enter your details. Click on the Register button.
You will get a message saying that you have been registered successfully on the portal.

How to apply for voter ID card online?

Once you have an account on the National Voter’s Service Portal, you can apply for a voter ID card online. Here’s what you need to do to do for voter ID card online application
Step 1: Visit https://www.nvsp.in/ and log in
Step 2: Click on Fresh Inclusion/Enrollment to register for a new voter ID card

Step 3: Select the appropriate option depending on whether you reside in India or abroad and the state from which you want to apply as a voter. Click on the Next button.
Step 4: Select your constituency and enter your postal address details. This will be automatically translated to Hindi. Upload a document to prove your address. Enter your family EPIC number if you have one and click on the Next button.
Step 5: Enter your date of birth and town. Select the district and state from the drop-down menus. Next, upload the age proof document and select the type of document from the drop-down menu. Download the age declaration form and print a copy. Fill in the document, scan and upload it back to the website. Click on Next to proceed.
Step 6: Enter your full name, gender and the details of your father/ mother/ husband. Upload your passport photograph and click on the Next button to proceed.
Step 7: If you are differently-abled, tick the appropriate box. Enter your email id and mobile number. Scroll down to see all your details filled into the application form. Click on Next to proceed.
Step 8: Accept the declaration and enter the place of inclusion. Click on Next to proceed.
Step 9: Preview your voter ID card new application and click on the Submit button to complete the process to apply voter ID online.
After you submit your voter ID card online application form, you may have to wait a while for the website to generate a reference ID. Make a note of this reference ID. This will be needed for the tracking of election ID card.

What are the documents required to apply for voter ID card online?

You need the following supporting documents (proof of address and age) for online voter ID card application. You will also need to submit form 6 along with the documents.

You can use the reference ID generated when you submitted voter ID application online to track voter ID card status online. You need to follow the below steps to check voter ID card status online:
Step 1: Log in to https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on Track Application Status
Step 3: Enter the reference ID and click on the Track Status button.
You will then be able to see the status of your online voter ID card application.

How to download voter ID card?

After you apply for voter ID card online, you can track status and once the card is ready, you can download voter ID and get a voter ID card printout. Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Log in to the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the e-EPIC Download icon
Step 3: Enter your EPIC number or the Form reference number and select your state from the drop-down menu. Click on Search to continue.
Step 4: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the same on the website to complete the voter ID card download process. You can then print your voter ID card.

How to download duplicate voter ID card?

If you need to download duplicate voter ID card, you need to follow the below steps.
Step 1: Visit the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/ and login
Step 2: Click on the e-EPIC Download tab
Step 3: Enter your EPIC number and select your state from the drop-down menu. Click on Search
Step 4: Enter the OTP as received on your mobile number via SMS.
A PDF copy of your voter ID card will be ready for download. Now, you have downloaded voter ID card duplicate successfully.

How can you search for voter ID card constituency details?

Once you have your EPIC number, you can search voter ID card constituency details such as the assembly/ parliamentary constituency details, BLO/ electoral officer’s details and political party representatives. Here’s how you can conduct a voter ID card search for these details:
Step 1: Visit https://www.nvsp.in/ and login
Step 2: Click on Know Your assembly/ parliamentary constituency details, BLO/ electoral officer’s details and political party representatives
Step 3: Enter your EPIC number and click Search
You can then scroll down and get all the relevant details.

How to get your voter ID card migrated?

When you move from one place to another, you can migrate your voter ID card. If you have a voter ID card, online apply for migration with the following steps.
Step 1: Log in to the Indian Voter’s Service website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the button for ‘Migration to another place.
Step 3: Select the option to migrate your voter ID card or the voter ID  card of a family member. Select whether you want to migrate the card within your constituency or to another constituency. Click on Next to proceed.
Step 4: Select your constituency and district from the drop-down menu and select the option to add your voter ID to the constituency list because of migration. Enter your personal details, postal address, email ID and phone number. Upload a copy of your photograph, age proof and address proof. Complete the declaration, enter the captcha code and click on the Submit button.
The last step of apply voter ID card migration is to note your reference number.

How to do voter ID verification against the voting list?

Once you have completed the registration, you can do voter ID card verification to verify the details online by following the below steps.
Step 1: Log in to the Indian Voter’s Service website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the Search in Electoral Roll icon
Step 3: You can search by EPIC number or by personal details. Select the appropriate tab and enter the relevant details. Enter the Captcha code and click on the search button.
You can then scroll down to check voter ID details.

How to find voter ID card details online?

You can check all your voter ID details online with the following steps.
Step 1: Visit https://www.nvsp.in/ and use your details to login
Step 2: Click on the icon for Search in Electoral Roll
Step 3: Enter your EPIC number and state or personal details. Enter the captcha code and click on the Search button.

The page will be refreshed and you will be able to see all your details.

Can I do voter ID to aadhar link on the NVSP portal?

No. Voter ID to aadhar link service is not available on the National Voter’s Service Portal website.

How can you add EPIC number to your voter ID profile?

Voter ID card corrections online can be done only if your profile mentions your EPIC number. Here’s how you can add your EPIC number to your profile.
Step 1: Log in to the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the person icon on the top right and select ‘My Profile’
Step 3: Click on ‘Edit Profile’
Step 4: Enter your EPIC number and click on the ‘Update details’ button

If you have incorrect details on your voter ID card, you can apply to change:

How can you fill out the voter ID card correction form?

If you find that some of your details are wrong, you can apply for voter ID correction online and follow the below steps to fill out voter ID card correction form:
Step 1: Log in to the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the ‘Correction in Personal details’ button
Step 3: Select whether you want to make changes in your voter ID  card or a family member’s voter ID  card, enter your EPIC number and click Next
Step 4: A form will open on a new page. Select your district and constituency. Scroll down and tick the field to be corrected. You can select multiple fields if needed.
Step 5: Enter the corrected details. In the case of editing age and address, you will also need to update proof for the same. Enter your email id and mobile number.
Step 6: Enter your city and the Captcha code. Click on the Submit button.

How can you download voter ID list?

Here’s how you can download voter ID list or electoral roll
Step 1: Visit the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the Download Electoral Roll PDF icon
Step 3: Select your state from the dropdown menu and click on the Go button to continue
Step 4: You will be redirected to the state webpage from where you can download the voter list.

How to delete voter ID online?

If you have moved to another city or country, the voter died or you’ve changed your citizenship, you should delete your name from the electoral list. Here’s how you can do this online:
Step 1: Visit and login to the National Voter’s Service Portal website: https://www.nvsp.in/
Step 2: Click on the Forms icon
Step 3: Click on Form 7
Step 4: The form will be displayed in Hindi. You can change the language by selecting English from the drop-down menu on the top right.
Step 5: Select an option for deleting the voter ID:
I object to the proposed inclusion of the name of the undermentioned person in the electoral roll for the above constituency.
Select this reason if you want to apply for the deletion of someone else’s voter ID
I submit that the entry relating to ‘myself’/ the person named below is required to be deleted for the reasons stated here under
Select this reason to delete the voter ID of a family member
I request that the entry relating to myself is to be directed from the Electoral roll
Select this option to delete your voter ID
Step 6: Select the state, district and assembly from the drop-down menu
Step 7: Enter your name, surname and voter ID  details. If you do not have these details, you can check them by following these steps.
Step 8: Enter the details of the voter ID  to be deleted. If you are applying to delete your voter ID, you can select the ‘same as above’ box
Step 9: Select the reason for objection/ deletion
Step 10: Enter the city from where you are filling in the application, enter the captcha code and click on ‘Preview and Submit’
Step 11: Check the details entered in the application form. If anything is incorrect, you can click on the Back button to edit the form. Else, click on the Submit button.
Once the application has been submitted, a number will be generated. Note this number to track the application status.
